November 2005
Hi friends and family,
I’m sending this letter to let
you know of some exciting things that are going on in my life. As many of you
know, I recently returned from a two month trip with Bound4LifeKC (www.bound4lifekc.com). I traveled with
a team of around 50 people to 9 different cities in America.
In each city we stood outside of an abortion clinic or courthouse and silently
prayed for abortion to be ended in America.
We call this a silent siege.
Last October a man named Lou
Engle took a group of fifty young people to Washington
D.C., while they were there a young man
named Brian Kim had a dream that thousands were standing outside the Supreme
Court. The dream zoomed in and focused on one of his friends, in the dream his
friend had tape covering his mouth that said the word LIFE on it. Lou prayed
and decided to start doing the dream. He took his team of young people and
stood outside the Supreme Court for 31 days wearing Life tape and praying that
God would end abortion in America.
They decided not just to limit it for 31 days, so a team of people are still
standing for 2-5 hours everyday outside the Supreme Court.
Many people around America
started to feel God’s heart on the issue of abortion, one of these people was
my uncle, Kirk Bennett, who serves on the senior leadership of the International
House of Prayer in Kansas City. After
doing a 21 day siege in Kansas City,
Kirk felt like God was calling him to take a team of people and travel to
different cities to siege abortion clinics and courthouses.
In August I flew out to Kansas
City to join the Bound4LifeKC team. We were on the
road the whole month of August, “sieging” the clinics of six different cities.
God did many awesome things on this trip. In Portland
a lady and her boyfriend walked into a clinic, once they were inside the lady turned
around and stared at one of the girls on our team for a few moments. 15 minutes
later the lady and her boyfriend came back out of the clinic. Jamie, one of the
girls on our team felt like she should talk to the lady. It turned out that the
lady was going in to schedule her abortion, but changed her mind because when
she was staring out the window at our team, she didn’t see us, she saw babies wearing LIFE tape. God had
touched her heart and she decided to keep her baby! She came with us to the
service that night and she asked Christ to come into her heart! Many other
miracles like this happened on our trip. It is truly God’s heart to see abortion
ended in America.
In September I spent time at the
International House of Prayer for about 2 weeks. I then went to Memphis,
Tennessee; Jackson,
Mississippi (which is the location of the
only abortion clinic in the whole state!); St. Louis,
Missouri; and then came back home. During
this time I really started to feel God’s heart for the unborn and for America.
God is raising up deliverers but we have turned our head as they have been
aborted. These babies were the dream of the Fathers heart. The church in America
must wake up and stand for the heart of God. We cannot be silent anymore.
Since I have been back I’ve been
praying about what God would have me do in the upcoming months. Kirk has been
asked to move to South Carolina (where
Bound4Life and Morning Star are based) with a team of about 100 people to start
a house of prayer there. He and his family are moving down there as early as
December and I feel the call to move with them. This isn’t going to be an easy
task, but God’s hand is on it and it will be accomplished.
The House of prayer will be
called the Zadok House of Prayer (ZHOP). Zadok means “righteousness”. We are
going to be a house of prayer that is rooted in righteousness. We have a
calling to be an Ezekiel 44:15 people, that while this generation is going
crooked we will stay in the place of prayer and righteousness.
To do this I need your support. I
am in need of funds that will support me while I am in South
Carolina. I need to find monthly support partners. I’m
hoping to raise at least $1500.00 monthly. These funds won’t just support me;
they will help in building the house of prayer and funding others. I believe
that giving isn’t just for when you have more than you need and you can afford
to give. I believe in continually moving funds to help others, and that is what
I will do with this money.
Here are the needs I have:
·
At least $1500.00 monthly
·
A Laptop computer so I can keep in touch with
people while I am in South Carolina.
·
I am looking into the possibility of getting a
car since I plan on being there long term.
Please prayerfully consider supporting me.
Please don’t let this letter be
the only way you hear from me, I would love to meet with you in person and
discuss more about the vision of Bound4Life and the Zadok House of Prayer.
Please call me at home (410-751-1636) or leave a message on my cell phone
(443-244-0375) or email me if you would like to meet.
BUSINESS OWNERS: I am willing to
pray for any needs your business has for a few hours a week in return for your
monthly support. You can send me prayer needs and I will send back what I felt
God was saying about your business while I was praying and also the prayers I
pray for your business. Please call me or send me an email.
Also, please keep me in your
prayers as I start a new season in my life.
